Dr. Maria Abbasi Tehrani graduated from General Surgery training program at the university of Basel, Switzerland following this she underwent specialized Cardiac Surgery Fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Tehrani is a Cardiac Surgeon known for traditional cardiac surgery procedures. She has an active practice that ranges from acquired cardiac surgeries to minimally invasive, and catheter-based therapies for heart diseases. She is in private practice and exclusively serves a certain sector of government agency employees.

She is actively involved in the program for pediatric heart and lung transplantation. Her academic work is currently focused on surgical care for all pediatric patients with congenital heart disease as well as continued care for adolescents and adults.
